KingHost has been accepting payments in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoins and Litecoins since the previous Wednesday.
The company’s hiring process remains unchanged, but customers will now have the option to use cryptocurrencies for payment.
We spoke with KingHost’s team members Felipe Olivaes, in charge of the project’s infrastructure, and Lívia Lampert, the marketing manager, regarding the introduction of the new payment method.
What prompted the company to introduce cryptocurrencies as a payment option?
Cryptocurrencies are seen as a financial market revolution, offering a secure way to conduct online transactions through blockchain technology. The decision to adopt cryptocurrencies as a payment method was driven by the desire to support this revolution and promote wider market acceptance for increased usage and consumer confidence.

Embracing innovation, KingHost is once again pioneering the acceptance of cryptocurrencies. A group of experts at KingHost successfully used cryptocurrencies some years ago to quickly implement them as a payment method. This experience has led KingHost to encourage its customers to also consider adopting cryptocurrencies, with over 12 thousand Bitcoin transactions already completed.

Security plays a crucial role in the success of online businesses, which is why we prioritize it. The use of cryptocurrencies benefits both buyers and sellers by offering faster payment processing, continuous operation, transparency, and privacy in transactions.
Cryptocurrencies provide sellers with benefits such as eliminating chargebacks and frauds due to all transactions being recorded in the blockchain, ensuring 24/7 operation, allowing for global use without blockages or international transaction bureaucracy, and offering faster receiving speeds without the need for brokers, which also accelerates service activation for customers.
What percentage of Kinghost users are required to follow this payment method?
Cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies have incredible potential. Despite the current 20 million blockchain wallets worldwide, many have yet to make a purchase. The decentralization and security aspects of cryptocurrencies should lead to widespread adoption, especially as more companies like KingHost accept them. The goal is for at least 3% of purchases in 2018 and over 15% in 2019 to be made using cryptocurrencies.
